Seven Reasons You are Still Unemployed

  1. Your salary expectations are too high.
  2. Your personal network is underdeveloped.
  3. Your resume is too short/too long.
  4. You are waiting for the perfect job.
  5. You are applying to jobs you are unqualified for (the shotgun approach).
  6. You live in an economic disaster area.
  7. You get overly nervous during interviews.
So let us get to business
1. Your salary expectations are too high.
I bet many of you would honestly be surprised how many people I speak with that have unrealistic pay expectations. Obviously firms pay differently for the same position. Some firms have great benefits, but don’t pay as much. Others are extremely stressful and thus pay a bit more.So make your findings
The problem people run into is when they get laid off from a company that pays well above the market average. You’ll find someone making $75,000 that is only “worth” $50,000 in the market.  The bottom line is if your pay expectations are too high you need to adjust quickly to land that next job.
Also run the math on how much money you are missing out every week you go unemployed. Each week increases the amount you need to make once you do land a job. The faster you land employment the better.

2. Your personal network is underdeveloped.
Statistics show that about two-thirds of all people get a job through their network rather than through a job board or job posting. Two-thirds. That’s a lot of people.
Make an assessment of your network. Reach out to those old co-workers. Start going to local networking events. But keep the golden rule of networking handy: give first, get later. The more you help others the more your name will be out in your community and industry.
3. Your resume is too short/too long.

How to avoid SCAM

Simple awareness that the Internet isn't a safe playground is the first step. There are millions of ways you can be scammed out of your money online whether it be through eBay, Nigerian money order, or phishing sites looking for your personal information. Verify and do some basic research. Never trust a website or person online blindly.

1. Look for a working phone number.

Ideally you are looking for a working, functioning number, but a local one will do, too. Here's another kicker: someone needs to actually answer the phone rather than it going to voicemail.

 2. Google "(company name) Scam"

Going back to doing research; this is a great first step. Never heard of the company? A quick Google search for the company's name and the word scam will provide you with an up to date list of people that are unhappy with the firm for whatever reason. Some of these complaints will be unfounded, but if you get a ton of quality results full of complaints, that's a red flag.

You can also just do a basic Google search for the company's name and see if anything negative pops up.

3.There isn't a physical address (or there are two)

small black spots here and there on the bananas and the stalks are black.

How to easily get yourself out of a locked car booth

Have you ever been trapped in a car booth as an hostage or have you ever been abducted and kept in a car's trunk? This can be a deadly experience. Sometimes in Nigeria a criminal will force a person into a trunk, and sometimes a person (usually a child) will accidentally get trapped in a trunk, but whatever  the cause of entrapment, a trunk is a very dangerous place to be.  Unfortunately, it's not easy to get out of a locked trunk.  While some vehicles now have trunk release levers inside, others do not.  So what can you do? Below are some simple steps to follow if you find yourself in such a situation
1. Be Calm - if you get trapped in a booth be calm cause booths are not completely airtight, and it generally takes at least twelve hours to fall unconscious even more, if you are small or the trunk is large (or both). so breathe regularly and don't panic. It may get very hot in there - up to 140°F (60°C) - but you still need to stay calm in order to increase yourchances of escaping
2.Attempt to escape through the back seat.  Some cars have back seats that fold down to allow access to the booth.  Generally the release for these seats is located inside the car, but there may be one in the booth as well.  If not, try to push, kick, or push the seats down, and then climb out but in event of you being kept in there by your abductors do not try this if they are still in the car
3.Look for a booth release. The booth  you're in may not have a release unless it's a newer model or a release is installed.  Nonetheless, it's worth looking for the release, just in case.  It will usually be a glow-in-the-dark handle located near the trunk latch, but it may also be a cord, button, or toggle switch, or a handle that does not glow in the dark.
