8 Sleeping Positions And Their Effects On Health

         1. On Your Back, Arms at Sides
Sleeping on your back with your arms at your side is generally considered to be the best sleeping position for spine health and it’s good for your neck, too, as long as you don’t use too many pillows. That said, back sleepers tend to snore more than those in any other position and sleep apnea is strongly associated with sleeping on the back.

2. On Your Back, Arms Up

This so-called “starfish” position is also good for the back. Whether you have your arms up around your pillow or not, sleeping on your back may also help to prevent facial wrinkles and skin breakouts. However, like the arms-down back sleeping position, this one can also result in snoring and problems with acid reflux. Plus, having your arms up can put pressure on nerves in your shoulders, leading to pain.

3. Face Down
Sleeping on your stomach can improve digestion but unless you’ve developed a way to breathe through your pillow, it most likely leads to you tilting your face in one direction or the other. This can put a lot of strain on the neck. Sleeping face down can also cause back pain, as the curve of the spine is not supported.

3.Consider requesting a standing desk at work, if possible.

4.Eat brazil nuts.rich in selenium, a mineral that helps your body's cells repair their DNA and kill off cancer cells.

5.Add garlic to your meals. The sulfer in garlic has been shown to boost the immune system's response to cancer and even reduce tumor growth

6.Eat cantaloupe. Afruit rich in cartotenoids, which have been shown to reduce the likelihood of lung cancer. It also contains Vitamin C, which will boost your immune system.

7.Eat blueberries. It is a powerful source of antioxidants, a molecule which prevents the cell damage in the body that could eventually lead to cancer

CANCER : Foods to Avoid

Most cases of cancer develop over the course of decades, and can be attributed to various factors in a person's life, like their diet, their genetics, and their environment. This article will teach you some simple lifestyle choices you can make to dramatically reduce your risk for developing certain cancers.

1.Cut down on smoked or pickled foods. Studies have shown that foods like smoked salmon and pickles contain trace levels of carcinogens

2.Cut out high-fat animal proteins. Opt for poultry or fish over beef and pork, and switch to low-fat yogurts and cheeses. When cooking, using olive oil or vegetable oil rather than butter.

3.Reduce your intake of alcohol. When alcohol breaks down in the body, it releases a chemical that can cause DNA damage, which could eventually lead to the onset of various cancers.

4.Avoid excess sugar. Cancer cells feed off of glucose, which helps tumors grow faster and spread more rapidly throughout the body. Beware of hidden sugars in bread, salad dressings, and cooking sauces.Opt for honey over white sugar when possible.
Stay away from artificial sweeteners. Ironically, both natural and synthetic sweeteners may be cancerous. Artificial sweeteners were linked with the onset of bladder cancer in animal subjects.

5.Reduce your intake of acrylamide. This carcinogenic substance appears naturally in certain foods when cooked at a high temperature.Foods that are high in amino acids and/or carbohydrates are prone to developing acrylamide when fried, baked, or roasted The following are examples of such foods:
. French fries.
. Roasted coffee.
. Toast.
. Baked goods.
. Popcorn.
. Pretzels.
. Pizza.
. Peanut butter.

Tips that may help reduce the risk of becoming victims of kidnappers:

  1.
Vary your routine as much as practicable.  The more predictable your movements and schedules, the easier it is for a kidnapper to plan and execute your abduction.  This applies as much to places of leisure and entertainment as it does to places of worship, shopping, or schooling.
2.
Consider making your kids use designated school buses instead of your car.
3.
Drivers should always be on the lookout for a stubbornly trailing vehicle, and be aware that they are especially vulnerable during the few seconds they stop to open a gate and drive into premises.
4.
If you suspect you are being followed, drive to a safe place where help is near.  It is best to pre-designate such a place in your neighbourhood, just in case - a police station, busy hotel or restaurant, or even back to the expressway, but never into a cul-de-sac.  Have somebody in the car call Security for assistance.
5.
If you must travel through isolated roadways, choose a time of day when the area is likely to have more traffic.  Use reliable transportation, because you are very likely to be kidnapped, robbed, or hurt if you should stop to fix a car problem.
6.
The risk is the same if you stop for a 'bathroom break'.  Ensure that you and your family members, especially children, use the bathroom at home before you embark on a trip.
7.
Do not make fuel stops in isolated roadways.
8.
Rather than taking your children to salons fix their hair for hours, consider having the service provided in your home by a trusted provider, even if you have to pay a little more.
9.
Review the security tips shared at the office with members of your household, and ensure they know the phone number to call in a security emergency.
10.
Don't hesitate to call your Security contact for advice or guidance if required.

If you live in an area with high kidnap incident rates, there is always a possibility that you could already be a target, or that you or your family members are being developed as targets.  Anything you do to make surveillance with criminal intent more difficult can reduce the chances of your becoming a victim.
